Just so you know, I most defnitely won’t stop making nerdy references…

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, our approach towards visiting Mt. Cook was less than successful. Today, I wanted to share with you a couple of photos that were taken during our desperate tour a) towards Aoraki and b) away from Aoraki. At a certain point, the rain fell too heavy to be able to get out of the car and take any photos. Plus, we were so soaked that the windows in the car got way too steamy…

The photos you can see here have a rather strong grain and turned out to be really good for the rustic colours of the grass. If I remember correctly, I used a Kodachrome 200 film here, one of the rare films left on the market that are grainy by themselves without having to manipulate the photo and thus losing quality of colour, etc. It’s rather difficult to come by nowadays, but sometimes you can get really lucky on ebay…
