| World Trip Series | Lake Hawea

You’d think that after Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki one would have enough of fabulous lake scenery. No, not enough. That one would have developed a sort of immunity against the precious natural beauty of New Zealand’s south island. But no. Despite the heaviest rain during the whole of our trip, despite some traffic issues, hunger and cold, we were simply amazed by the beauty of Lake Hawea. In fact, we even managed a short walk along some beautiful cliff houses down to the beach. After about 1km though, we had to admit that the weather was again defeating us. But you know what? Hot cocoa and a view are actually just as fabulous…

Due to the cold temperature and the heavy rainfall, it was quite difficult tot take photos. These three were the only ones I managed to take – again, with my good old Minolta X-700, a Kodak Gold ISO200 in May 2016.
